The Sugarloaf Gangsters with the second installment in their Ultimate Brazilian Breaks & Beats series - stacked with solid breaks and beats from start to finish, digging even deeper this time around. As with volume 1 both vinyl & CD are limited to 1000 copies. For part two, the Sugarloaf Gangsters spent six months travelling all over Brazil searching out obscure vinyl. The album wastes no time in setting the tone launching straight into a wicked break courtesy of Nonato. Track 2 is a steamy piece of motel inspired erotica, followed up by `St Tropez`, pure 70s soundtrack bizznizz. “Poema Ritmico do Malandro` opens up with a deep samba groove before some great female vocals. `Os Tremendoes` is a B side from a 7 inch release, check the breakdown on this one. The second half of the album includes the slow grooves of `A Ponte` and `Freesom Orquestra` as well as some serious up-tempo madness from `Coutinho e Seu Conjunto`. Tip!
