Detroit Techno master Sean Deason returns with the second of numerous solo projects slated for this year. On Elements Volume 2 Deason rediscovers his classic Detroit roots and channels the vintage sound he helped to pioneer. ...This release is more dance floor friendly than the previous installment, yet does not lose the warmth and emotionally seductive musical compositions Deason has become known for. Elements Volume 2 opens with Absolution, and epic yet subtly building, multi layered synth workout ala Derrick May, and closes with “Seduction” a funky stripped down Carl Craig like groove built upon an infectious bass line. “Notch” showcases a track built simply yet amazingly from only a TR-909. The track “Teknomusik” is a fun and funky acid track with a robot vocal.
