Description

Nkisi Kill EP is the debut solo release from Melika on the new MW label, the Belgian/Congolese producer known best in the last few years for her prolific work on NON collective. The 12" encapsulates the variety of styles she has help champion through her work and DJ-sets, from afro centric rhythms to influences of Gabber and dark Belgian techno. 100 copies initial run only..Lead track Kill is a full blooded rhythm attack, while the atmospheric journey of Can U See Me showcases the subtler side of Melika's talents. On the flip is the heavy hitting Mwana, while EP closer Parched Lips is a straight up 148bpm acid techno bomb. An incredibly strong first release, with exciting entry points for Nkisi's multi-faceted art and music career.
