Description

The label say 'sounding like a comedown-classic which is way too funky to be an ambient record and has the power to cut as deep as any decent delta blues album..' we like it here. TIP!His early nineties exotica creeps up on you in a good way. These sounds let your melted brain walk towards every light you can find in that dark tunnel. Every jam on this lp is well constructed and a bit more complex then usual. No worries, tracks are moving with their own elegant logic. Excess is trimmed away and the crispy rhythm programming is pulling you deeper and deeper into the melodic fog of heavenly layered synths. A certain songlike chemistry is never far away in these jams. Sweet memories of early Warp-classics and Rephlex good old freshness come to mind (think early Autechre, Bochum Welt,...). The feel is less krauty and much more UK but definitely Milans. Digesting the old into something completely fresh. Ghosts of new beat are lingering on. Slowly but clearly Milan W slips away from the bar towards the floor. The groove is more uptempo and these tracks are built to make you move in both ways. You can definitely start smelling the club in here. Smooth but raw and pretty far from any big room stylistics. Ocean-dwelling atmosphere included. Favorites like 'Hall' and 'Contender' glide into your system like submarines and it's rather difficult to chase them out of your cold waters. The whole lp is a pocket full of earworms party crashing your mind with some touchy memories of never-lived/completely forgotten raves.
