This E.P. is a composition by two artists who release their feelings thru their music. G.Marcell presents “Breathe”. On this side of the E.P. breathe is a musical adventure were G.Marcell expresses a time period of release from the everyday drama. Sometime in our everyday life we need just a little relief from the everyday pressure of the issues we encounter. This is the reason for the inhale mix and the exhale mix. The inhale mix is the more laid back groove where as the exhale mix is the more energetic groove strictly for dancing. On the other side of the E.P. 'Necessary sanctuary' is Amir’s experience of the dance floor when he hit the club scene. The original mix is full of energy and a for sure crowd pleaser. The 3AM mix is more of the mellow late nite groove. Over all, the E.P. is something for everyone to relate to in one way or another.

Amir Alexander
Amir began to seriously pursue cultivating his D.J./producer chops. He was blessed to be a part of several vibrant "scenes" throughout the U.S. during the 90's while studying the ins and outs, the music, and the history of the global dance movement. He’s always one to be found on the dance floor, Amir is a dancer first. It is through this intimate knowledge of what it is to be a devoted dancer he is informed as a musician. Having held residencies on the east and west coasts as well as the Midwest, Amir has been able to connect with club heads nationwide. Humbled by the many wonderful experiences, Amir seeks to be a servant of both the lord, giver of his musical gifts, and to the dancers who physically manifest the music we all love. Drawing on fifteen years of his experience as a D.J. Amir seeks to progress the art form, and advance the culture that has given him so much. Having joined forces with G. Marcell, Amir is taking his vision to the next level as he is now a signed artist on BearatoneRecordings imprint. So expect great things...... the best is yet to come.

G.Marcell started spinning at 89.3 WKKC on Sound Waves in Chicago on Saturday mornings back in 1991 (as Suga Bear). In between now and then G.Marcell have beat up clubs and parties from Chicago to Indiana on up to Michigan. As far as releases go, in 2002 dropping his first E.P. w/ Bumpincity entitled "The Definition of G.Marcell" was the start of his journey as a producer. Since then, G.Marcell have worked and produced remixes for different underground labels such as, Underground Uncensored, Noble Square Recordings (NSR), Synapsis, Minimalizm and also have started his own label. And for artist that he have worked with........ Well............ Ricardo Miranda, Amir Alexander, Hakim Murphy, Glenn Underground and have future projects in the works with Paul Johnson and Gene Hunt. As of now he continues to produce and remix music and stay on a spiritual plane in the process.
