Description

More crunch and grind from these Beglium beat-nutters....Bretzel Zoo is the notorious "Vaux vs Verviers" crew composed of Herrmutt Lobby, Cupp Cave, Dalcym, Dr. Vaen & whoever else happens to drop by! Members from the Bretzel Zoo crew toured the Netherlands last winter as Herrmutt Lobby, celebrating the release of their Bassfudge Powerscones EP. Herrmutt Lobby have recently released an album with Non Genetic (Shadow Huntaz) called 'Hunter', for the Japanese label Catune. Cupp Cave released a well received debut for Thin Consolation called 'Garbage Pail Beats' last year and is by now Belgium's worst kept secret when it comes to fly new beats. Dalcym and Dr Vaen are the mysterious last members of this messy-exotic collective known as the Bretzel Zoo. For a worthy follow-up to the much loved Bassfudge Powerscones EP, the Bretzel Zoo crew teams up on us again for the Baywatch EP. More of the trademark ill beats and absurd electro sounds; bass heavy electro funk encore! Special mention to the cover art by Elzo, part two of an exquisite diptych accompanying both individual records. 'Cupptaste' and 'The Dunk' are all about that kind of fat, gravelled up beats and rough, low res electronics you find on the "funkier side of town"... Disjointed rhythms and neck snapping beats galore also for 'Carapitch' and 'Don't let the Rain Come in Your Ass', both interlaced with the Zoo's typical freak robot samples and sounds. Bretzel Zoo kills the Bassfudge factor again with this Baywatch EP, second in a row! This EP is the second in a series of Herrmutt Lobby aka Bretzel Zoo projects planned for Eat Concrete Records. Between the three of them there is much more to come...
