Release Sheet

After being inspired by releases from the likes of Jay Dee, Prefuse 73, Dabrye, AmmonContact, Sa Ra, Stones Throw Records instrumentals and so on over the last couple of years and noticing an uprise in general of beatmakers worldwide making hiphop, offbeat and 4/4 instrumentals, the idea to put out an instrumental downbeat compilation was born. The compilation will consist of a full length CD, to be released early next year, along with a doublepack album, and a series of 3 limited 12' s. All music is A&R'd and compiled by our very own DJ Cinnaman and Spacek's DJ Scarlett. So here's the second 12 from the series with side A FlyamSam's 'Green tea power'; we checked them on myspace as many beat lovers did, now Flying Lotus (one half of) just released his album '1983'
on Plug Research. Sweden's Hearin' Aid / Figz' and Up Hygh's 'Acid'; producers from Sweden, released already on the Raw Fusion label and met Jay a few years ago,Side B: Pursuit Grooves with 'Push Up', a talented female beatmaker from New York who we met in Amsterdam during our Queensdayparty and Amsterdam's Aardvarck with the track 'Nose'. He is mainly known for his techno flavoured broken beat style and also his recent straight techno output, but goes for a more downtempo approach here. Check!

Beat Dimension Vol 1. -
A mature debut of cerebral beats and intelligent future funk by some of today's leading producers of left field soul inspired music. This benchmark album of innovations showcases a sampling of infectious beats by some up-and-coming artists to watch out for, as well as more established producers of this genre, taking you to that next level - one step beyond... to the outer limits. Highly recommended!

Some say Hip Hop died with Jay Dilla. This collection of fine beats is a perfect example that this is not true. Proper excitement from a collection of well known and upcomin artists who give a taste of their constant quest for the extraordinary. If you havent heard this you cant say youre up to date!
